I love this bread board. I bought it to use as my main cutting board on my island. I used wood oil on the back side of the board, and as any other wood just note that it will make the wood look darker. I left the front side of the wood untouched so that when guests come, I just flip it over so they see the beautiful light wood tone and then I can use the "pretty" side for other uses as well.
It's a great board for decor, but if you want to use as a cutting board and need to oil it up, just note it will change the color.
