We like the size and appearance. The exception is that the cord thank you very much exits the lamp from an unusually high position on the lamp making the cord very prominent, not very attractive. Maybe the base material makes it impractical to have the power cord exit the base as is usually the case. But it is rather ugly and distracting to have the cord so prominently displayed
