Our Ellington Fawn Hand-Tufted Wool Rug features a tribal inspired design and hand-tufted construction. Crafted from 100% wool, its neutral tones and intricate motif lend to a more traditional style, while it’s spill resistant and antimicrobial design is durable enough for any room in your home. • Material Explanation: Wool is an all-natural fiber made from the protective coats of sheep. Rugs made from wool are durable, yet soft and luxurious underfoot. Wool offers natural stain resistance, making these rugs easy to clean. Some shedding is to be expected but will decrease over time.
• Construction: Hand-Tufted
• Construction Explanation: A hand-tufted rug is made on a frame with a hand-operated tool that loops (or tufts) yarn through a canvas material. Hand-tufted rugs have a solid backing and should be treated with care as tufts can loosen over time. Because they are crafted by artisans, no two hand-tufted rugs are alike.

Care:

• Wool will maintain its looks over time with regular vacuuming only. Be sure to turn the beater bar setting off on your vacuum. If loose ends appear on the rug, you can clip them with scissors to remove. If spills occur, blot them immediately with a clean, dry cloth and use a common wool cleaning detergent to remove stains. For substantial spills and stains, we suggest professional cleaning only. Rugs placed in direct sunlight will fade over time, so we recommend rotating your rug periodically.
• Appropriate rug pad is highly recommended on all surfaces to prevent slipping, add cushion, and improve durability.
